made me feel more nostalgic :(
omg this is what jieying, my dear "old" PS (now QM le) said :
hurhur. Never thought I actually liked my seniors that much. yeah. that much. esp jiamin. She was always just a patrol leader, a ONCE so strange feel. That was what i always thought. i was wrong. (smirks) absolutely wrong to think i actually missed jiamin + steph + other seniors
OMG jieying!
seriously, i am super touched by u la.
i saw u discussing sth with the patrol ysd.
i knew it was for the dedication
but i didnt noe it was that sweet and touching
and what u mentioned on ur blog... really touched me alot
thanks for everything.
without u, i guess i wont have the strength to lead on
but what do u mean by "She was always just a patrol leader, a ONCE so strange feel.
That was what i always thought." ???
LOL but kind of true la, i still rmb when they announced the PLC'2008 last yr
i was super shocked at my rank
i nvr thought that i will be the kingfisher PL
i noe i got stage fright
i noe i will stutter in front of crowds
i noe i wasnt really a good leader
but u really helped me a lot. a lot.
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, JIEYING! <3
and mingxian's "speech" ysd was also super touching
brings out a lot of memories
but i guess most of the sec4s didnt really paid much attention ysd during the speech
cos we were busy wiping off our tears -.-
but ya, i read the speech via her blog le
its touching!!!!
and here goes :
Today was the ROD/Handover ceremony. There are probably times when you all feel like punching them in the face because they keep making you all repeat the same sedia/senang diri. There are times when you all probably wish they would stop shouting at you. But most of them have been more than a senior to you. They had been you close friends, your patient listeners, your confidantes. Just like the close elder sisters you all never had. They had spent their Mondays planning weekly meetings. They had tears and joy during the planning of the Annual G5 Camp. They even woke up as early as 5am to go for a recee, in order to plan a successful hike for you all. They had put in their heart and soul into making weekly meetings interesting, and their undying passion for guides pushed them on even as the pressure of homework and the coming O's stressed them out tremendously. All of them definitely deserve more than just a round of applause. Let us give them a final salute before they officially step down for a new batch of PLC. "Company, salute the Patrol Leader Council of year 2008!" PLC 2008, good luck for your future endeavours and strive hard for good results in the O's!
it had been almost 4 years.
to be exact, 3 years 6 months since we are together as a guiding family
the bond, the sistership, the friendship... they are always there
i still rmb how we complained and whinned to each other when the seniors shouted at us
i still rmb how we had to stare at the computer screen almost everyday during the start of the year, reading at the G5 Camp proposal
i still rmb how sad i feel when i realised i was running a fever after my vietnam trip, becos that means i have to skip the camp, my first ever camp as camp staff
i still rmb every single moment abt guides
and now we have officially stepped down
...................................
we have become more close than ever since last yr
we went through ups and downs tgt during our plannings
i will nvr forget the moments we shared together
and of course, the juicy gossip sessions that we used to have
hope we wont turn into "hi-bye" friends after stepping down.
PLC'2008, the cutest ppl ever.
(oh and jane, stop being the center of attention everytime)
